Justin Gaethje rips Conor McGregor: 'You are a (expletive) human, father, and husband'

Justin Gaethje is not backtracking on his controversial comments against Conor McGregor.

Over the weekend, Khabib Nurmagomedov beat Dustin Poirier and defended his lightweight title. Conor McGregor used the opportunity to request a rematch against ‘The Eagle’, much to the dismay of Justin Gaethje. He responded to the Irish fighter online:

“You’re a tool. You have lost everything already. You are a shit human, father, and husband. F*ck you.”

Despite not fighting since 2018 when he lost to Khabib Nurmagomedov at UFC 229, McGregor has stayed under the media spotlight. He raised controversy last month after a clip surfaced of him allegedly punching a man in a pub in Ireland. He has also received criticism for allegedly smashing a fan’s phone and possibly fathering a child with a fan, but refuses to take a DNA test.

His antics have not impressed Justin Gaethje as he calls out the Irishman. Meanwhile, Gaethje is scheduled to fight Donald ‘Cowboy’ Cerrone next weekend. They will headline the main event of UFC Vancouver in a highly anticipated lightweight scrap.

Justin Gaethje apparently is not fond of the way Conor McGregor conducts himself.

After Khabib Nurmagomedov’s third-round submission of Dustin Poirier at UFC 242 on Saturday, McGregor (21-4 MMA, 9-2 UFC) called out his Dagestani rival on Twitter. The first Irish UFC champion called for a second crack at Nurmagomedov, but this time for the fight to take place in Moscow.

Gaethje (20-2 MMA, 3-2 UFC) didn’t take lightly to McGregor’s callout and ripped the former champion in a responding tweet. Gaethje took aim at the way he thinks McGregor, whom he labeled a “tool,” carries himself outside the cage.

As he fielded many tweets that defended McGregor, Gaethje doubled down on his claims. Gaethje wrote he despises “what (McGregor) represents” and the people “who defend the person he is.”

Gaethje, a 30-year-old lightweight, went on to call McGregor a “(expletive) human” and wrote his distaste for the UFC’s first simultaneous dual champion had nothing to do with fighting abilities.

In fact, Gaethje was complimentary of McGregor’s skills and wrote the Irishman’s “distance management is second to none and his timing is impeccable and he hits like a truck.”

In an interview ESPN in August, McGregor claimed to have in July been booked to fight Gaethje at Madison Square Garden at UFC 244 in November. However, a series of legal issues interfered with his participation in the bout.
